Coming in first are Shotguns. I found a pretty nasty one while raiding the Armoury. (350~ X12)

Coming in second are Combat Rifles. Gotta love a fast-firing high-damage Atlas Glorious Havoc.

And coming in third are Revolvers. I like accurate, high-powered one-shotters. I don't know why though.

I'm gonna see if what everyone says is true about rocket launchers by getting up my prof up to 50 with them. Cause I find them general usable at 29.

Rocket launchers are actually pretty good. I dont know why theres so much hate against them.

I actually find it pretty effective. I also noticed on Crawmarax, they have the ability to Critical.

Yeah i noticed you using a Launcher against him yesterday. Launchers should be able to have the ability to crit anything because its not exactly easy.

Wow, i'm surprised there is so much love for repeaters.....I hate em...Revolvers beat the crap out of em (personal opinion)

With that said, I'm more of one shot one kill kinda guy, revolvers and Sniper rifles, are my ticket......

Repeaters have a better fire rate. Just find the right one and you may be able to outgun a all your other weapons. I know I did for a while. It just depends on the character and situation.

Since my weapon proficiency is mostly directed towards SMG's I'd say that but I'll always love sniper rifles in any game. I do love my Hellfire SMG with either my fire damage mod or with my +52 SMG damage mod. A very close 3rd to sniper rifles is the shotgun. Who doesn't just love getting up close to any enemy with one?

I have to say that even though my build is for my hellfire smg I do enjoy using the sniper in this game, more than any game that has snipers. Revolvers are fun and satisfying to just shoot that one, loud bullet and kill something, but shotguns are just so hilarious to shoot midgets with. Seriously, the stopping power of shotguns are awesome, the midget comes running towards me, and then I shoot it with a shotgun and it goes flying back, so fun.

Really though, the sniper in this game is the most satisfying because of the low multiplied scope. In other games the scope could practically look across a whole canyon, but when you shoot your nowhere near the reticule. In borderlands, however, snipers are have a zoom thats just perfect for me, I scope in on the enemy and I get that nice clean shot on someones head, it just comes right off their body. So I have to go with the sniper.

My preferred setup is two Sniper rifles and two Revolvers, but I usually replace one of the Revolvers with an Assault Rifle (finally found one I like).

I love when the Psychos get too close for the Sniper rifle. Then a well placed Revolver shot (especially if it's corrosive) stops them in their tracks.
