I agree with you on the Repeaters. This morning I looted a Corrosive one... fairly high damage, decent DoT that sticks almost every time (Although I cheat by playing a Siren :-P )

However, SMG's are by far my favorite on any of my characters.

Launchers are just plain fail... they fail hardcore, for anything but a stationary target that isn't shooting at you, isn't armored, and isn't shielded... so basically... for shooting at rocks.

Double Anarchy SMGs, you know those one with x4 next to the damage.

I also enjoy my Deathly Stomper, 3 shot burst with 300 damage, and my Hunter's Shotgun.

SMGs for me. They're really the best all-around weapon, and when given x4 Incendiary and put into the hands of an Elemental Lilith, they're unstoppable.

I have a Jakobs two shot revolver that I use like a sniper rifle. It's so accurate and packs a huge punch. Oh and to the people moaning about rocket launchers, you're doing it wrong or something. I have a Maliwan Helix incendiary launcher and I love bombarding large swaths of the terrain and giggling at the flaming bandits.

Number one would go to sniper rifles but they just dont make a sexy enough sound in Borderlands. Hand me the SVD from S.T.A.L.K.E.R please! Anyhoo as a result i just have to say revolvers. When i first started up my hunter i was a bit pfft about revolvers but now i cant get enough of them and if we have learned anything from the Magnum in Half Life 2 its that they fluffing kick ass!

I'd have to say SMG's and sniper rifles are tied at first. However, for the sheer "cool" factor and the slickness of 'em, revolvers take a close second place.

The sound of the shotgun is superb and packs a hard a punch as chuck norris on steroids but the Vladof's single shot and a burst head with blood flowing like a fountain out of my victim's corpse wins me over

Actually i enjoy al the weapons, and i try to rotate them a lot.

I do have a least favourite which is the grenade launcher.
This weapon is just not doing it for me.

Also i am not using the grenades, since they seem rather worthless during battles.

Dependend on the type of enemy i change my weapon. I allways have a revolver packed which unending firepower. This in combination with my 4X corrosive revolver is great. And i also allways pack a sniper rifle, right now it is a Volcano which IMO is unbeatable by any other sniper rifle.

The last slot changes from SMG to Battlerifle to shotgun to repeater.


The eridian weapons have the biggest flaw because they "run out of ammo" pretty fast. Perhaps i will try to pack 4 eridian weapons and switch during combat in order to be able to keep fireing...

I am all about Shotguns. The reason is pretty straightforward: It's easy to pick up a randomly dropped shotgun in the game and do some damage with it. There really aren't any bad shotguns, and it's easy enough to keep upgrading as you come across the good ones. With other weapons, you may occasionally find one worth holding on to, but not with enough frequency--you need another upgrade as the opponents get tougher, but there's none to be found, so you just stop using it. The shotguns, on the other hand, you can always count on, as long as you're using the appropriate strategy.

#1 choise has to go to sniper rifles, popping heads half a mile away with them hardly knowing where you are.

#2 if they do survive to get up close and personal, electo shotgun (if they have shielding) followed by explosive shotgun

i love any gun, but i mainly use a Combustion Hellfire. Why? because it kicks everything's ass and then burns the body (possibly not in that order.)

For sheer killing the SMG runs rings around most weapons. For sheer fun, I love zooming into an unsuspecting bandit, watching their head explode and then giggling right along with my character.
