I'm not sure how most people are even impressed by these guns Ive seen a few post about pearl weapons and how people consider them legendary ha well i just found my first and its a sniper and man does it suck bad i mean most snipers i find now do well up into the 900's in damage and this pearl weapon doesn't even push 600 and it requires a 48 to use it ha i mean what a joke.

Im not sure what a pearl weapon is. But from what I'm guessing it means a weapon that shows up as white, but is ranked above the oranges? If so then I have one that's pretty good for Gunslingers.



The scope is great and huge magazine. ROF is a little slow, but coupled with +ROF mods and pistol proficiency and a chance to fire 2 shots per bullet it makes it pretty useful on my Hunter.

yeah .. if there is Pearl in the name of the weapon.. then it isn't considered pearl quality.

Thanatos repeaters are the only White (Pearl) grade weapon that appears above Orange grade weapons in your inventory.

I currently have found 5 different variations of the Thanatos repeater.

90 + 1x shock
90 + 1x corrosive
110 w/ higher ROF

The pearl weapons always have the red descriptions in them.

Did you check the zoom on the sniper you got? My friend received a pearl sniper which had so/so damage and ROF, but the zoom was RIDICULOUS! He was sniping baddies from like a mile away. That coulda been what you got. And Mangbus, the Thanatos repeaters arent the only pearls... as seen by my pal's sniper.

If it is the pearl sniper rifle I am thinking of...check the crit damage percent? Believe there is one that has decent damage, but...500% crit damage. With most being like 200% tops...it is probably very beastly. Combined with class mods...many able to add on an additional 100% crit damage with sniper rifles...the hunter's crit damage boosting skill...shield ignore...and weapon proficiency, I think you are looking at one beastly weapon.

Besides, I have a pearl shield, which....is amaaaazing, a pearl rocket launcher which is pretty awesome, and just found a pearl revolver which is incredibly awesome. Pearls get my approval.

i doubt it was a 500% crit damage sniper since this post started in 09 when pearls were still just a bug caused by the system and isnt the 500% crit sniper new to the knoxx dlc?

well they may have been bugs in the past but not this time , also there is a sniper with 500% critical hit and its a pearl its called the fearsome bessie and it has many different damage types ranging from 1100 to 1677 i think there may be one or two lower and anything higher probebly modded i have all bessies modded and unmodded and they are amazing so if you do not have them or do not believe they exist then you can think that while the rest of us have a awesome time useing them.

if you read my post properly i didnt say they didnt exist now i said they probaly didnt exist when this thread was started back on november 5 2009 since the 500% crit sniper is a new weapon from the knoxx dlc which came out 2-3 weeks ago its highly unlikely that it was the weapon the op was talking about.

hmm, i think we can all agree that the new guns are epic, and we can all agree that i haven't gotten to use one yet...........
